Cursed Wafers (Shaman Pre-Skull Quest)

Where: East Cabilis - Shaman Guild

Who: Hierophant Oxyn

Reward: 2 x Cursed Wafers, Experience, Faction, Coin

You say, 'Hail, Hierophant Oxyn'

Hierophant Oxyn says 'Greetings, and may the pain of the ancients guide you. You have come to us for guidance, have you not? We are the Hierophants of Cabilis and we guide the young Scale Mystics. All petitioners shall speak with me of [temple tasks].'

You say, 'What temple tasks?'

Hierophant Oxyn says 'The Temple of Terror requires all young Scaled Mystics to [perform daily tasks.]. The tasks are necessary to the upkeep of our order as well as that of our brothers, the Crusaders of Greenmist.'

You say, 'I will perform daily tasks.'

Hierophant Oxyn says 'We require many components for various rituals. Take this Component mortar and fill it with the following items - foraged [mud crabs]. two small mosquito wings and one portion of bone chips. You must then use the pestle and combine all the components. When you have a full component mortar, you may return to me and I shall pay you your wages, but most importantly, you shall prove your devotion to the Scaled Mystics.'

You say, 'What mud crabs?'

Hierophant Oxyn says, 'Mud crabs are tiny crustaceans which live along the mudcaked shores of the Lake of Ill Omen. You can forage for them and find a handful of them at a time.'

Hierophant Oxyn hands you a Component Mortar and asks you to fill it with the following items:

2 x Small Mosquito Wings

1 x Bone Chips

1 x Mud Crabs

Combining the items creates a Full Component Mortar Upon handing this to Hierophant Oxyn

Hierophant Oxyn says 'We appreciate your service. Take a few copper for your deed as well as some of our cursed waters. They will provide you with nourishment. As for future tasks, we are searching for a few [lost skulls] and i am sure you are searching for your [iron cudgel of the clairvoyant] And i also hear that the furscales are in need of some broodlings to do some manual labor. Tell them Oxyn sent you.

Receive some experience, faction, copper, two Cursed Wafers, and access to the Shaman Skull Quest No. 1.

Shaman Skull Quest 1

Where: East Cabilis - Shaman Guild

Who: Hierophant Oxyn

Reward: Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant, Experience, Faction, Coin

You say, 'What lost skulls?'

Hierophant Oxyn says, 'You must have heard of the Trilac Brotherhoods disappearance. They are the skulls of three soon to be ancients. They were taken from this temple by a silent intruder. Crusaders are always on duty. I do not know how they got into our vault. Every petitioner is ordered to search for the three skulls and return them to me along with their petitioner cudgel and then they shall become clairvoyants.'

You say, 'What Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant?'

Hierophant Oxyn shakes his head and waves a finger in your face. If you are looking to be handed the Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant then you are sadly mistaken. Perhaps if you were to gather a few [lost skulls] for the temple we may find you worthy to wield one.'

Find an iksar outcast in the Cabilis Sewers and obtain:

1 x Morgl Skull

1 x Logrin Skull

1 x Waz Skull

Upon handing in the 3 skulls and your Iron Cudgel of the Petitioner to Hierophant Oxyn:

Hierophant Oxyn says "Excellent! You have proved yourself worthy to wield the iron cudgel of the clairvoyant. As a clairvoyant I feel I can trust you, so I will tell you that the issue of the missing skulls is a [much larger problem] than last stated.'

You receive an Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant

You have gained experience.

Your faction standing with Scaled Mystics got better.

Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.

- SASH'S NOTES -

From my experience, many, if not all, of the mobs in the sewer are placeholders. an iksar outcast can spawn from any of these places so clearing the area is key. I saw him spawn in many different locations but wasn't able to verify each one. I did, however, find that the Waz Skull wasn't appearing until I searched up the ramp and through the secret wall. I would suspect the an iksar outcast that spawn up there have a better chance if not THE chance to give you the Waz Skull because I did many loops around just the bottom and only when I found the secret wall did I find the last skull in 3 clears.

Shaman Skull Quest 2

Where: East Cabilis - Shaman Guild

Who: Hierophant Oxyn

Reward: Iron Cudgel of the Seer, Experience, Faction, Coin

You say, 'Much larger problem?'

Hierophant Oxyn says, 'Many of the ancient skulls have been cast out of our temple. A hierophant was supposed to cast a special spell which was to protect the skulls from dust and decay. He cast some unknown spell which has sent many of our skulls to their original point of death. It would be most helpful if you would [assist in collecting the ancient skulls].'

You say, 'I will assist in collecting the ancient skulls.'

Hierophant Oxyn seems unsure of your prowess. 'Hmmm. First you shall go after the two skulls of the Cleansers of the Outlands. If you find them, bring them back unbroken and then I shall trust you. Hand me both skulls and your iron cudgel of the clairvoyant and I will know you are prepared.'

Combine the 3 items below in a pottery wheel to complete skull with II. I practiced my pottery and had a skill of 60 when I did my combine. Worked 1st time.

1 x Jawless Skull from a rogue shaman that spawns in the hut at #4 in Warsliks Woods on EQAtlas

1 x Mandible from a different rogue shaman in Field of Bone

1 x Mendglow Clay foraged from Burning Wood

The skull with I is looted off of a a stuffed barracuda in the Lake of Ill Omen. The fish is located at the North side of the sunken dome in about the middle of the lake itself.

Return both skulls and your Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant to Hierophant Oxyn.

Hierophant Oxyn says 'We are in your debt,Sashai. You are truly the one who shall collect all lost ancient skulls. Take your weapon. Go to Hierophant Zand and he shall guide you further. Tell him you are [the chosen savior].'

Receive Iron Cudgel of the Seer

You have gained experience.

Your faction standing with Scaled Mystics got better.

Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.

You receive 1 platinum from Hierophant Oxyn

You receive 5 gold from Hierophant Oxyn

The stuffed barracuda is a tough one as the other fish around him are red @ level 24. I was able to zap the stuffed one while on my corpse run to the bottom of the lake but the red kos con was still close by. Be very careful, or bring a friend!

I was not able to get the rogue shaman in Field of Bone to spawn. I tried killing between Kurn's Tower and Kaesora and I tried on the grass to the East of Kurn's. I ended up purchasing it from the Bazaar but anyone with better info on looting from the spawn please update. Thanks !

The Mendglow Clay also alluded me. I spent a work day foraging at the zone line to Dreadlands and never got one. Ended up getting one in the Bazaar for 50pp

Shaman Skull Quest 3

Where: East Cabilis - Shaman Guild

Who: Hierophant Zand

Reward: Iron Cudgel of the Mystic, Experience, Faction, Coin

Sashai says 'I am the chosen savior.'

Hierophant Zand says "I am honored to meet the one who shall pledge his life to the return of the Skulls of the Ancients. However, I must see proof of our prowess as of yet. Go to the outlands and retrieve one Froglok Hexdoll, and no, they are not found on Frogloks. They are shaman dolls made by the goblin tribe."
