General info

Keys can be obtained either through a quest, as a direct drop from an NPC, or combining drops from NPCs in a container. There are two types of keys. Those that bind to the keyring and those that do not. Those that do not also come in the flavors of permanent and no rent (temporary), so bear that in mind before you log off.

To bind a bindable key to the keyring, you just need to use it once. To use a specific key for the first time, you need to be infront of the door or locked zone, put the key on your cursor and hit the 'u' key. If it was successfully bound to your keyring, it will display a message. Make sure you see that text. You can then safely put the key in the bank or destroy it. The next time you need to use that key, you simply need to click the door/zoneline with your mouse cursor.

You can view your keyring at anytime by typing /key and hitting enter.

Keys that are known to bind to your keyring

Classic

Kunark

Velious

  • Tower of Frozen Shadows: 1-7 : (the number denotes the floor you are keyed for, 7 being the highest which is also the master : Tserrina's Key is the master, drops from Tserrina Syl`Tor on 7th floor. All floors bind to keyring, the next floor keyed replaces the previous one, so there is only one line for ToFS on your keyring. Also this key teleports the group to the next floor, so only one per group is needed.)
  • Sleeper's Key (Sleeper's Tomb, quest)
  • Shrine Key (Skyshrine, quest)

Luclin

Planes of Power
