The Acrylia Caverns is an ancient mine, dug out by the Vah Shir since they landed on Luclin ages ago. The acrylia they mined here built the city of Shar Vahl, and they still use large amounts of it in many of the things that they produce. The grimlings, however, have taken over the mine and the surrounding forest since their underground stronghold was tapped into some time ago. A constant battle wages over what's in these mines.
Dangers[edit]
You require a Hollow Acrylia Obelisk to access Inner Acrylia, which is the reward from the Grimling War.
Ring of Fire, Vah Shir Captive, and the Burrower raids can be accomplished without the Inner AC key.
Benefits[edit]
One of the lucid shards you need for the Vex Thal key quest is farmed here. There are two mobs guarding the gate marked at #8 on the map that drop this shard. They are the only two in the zone that do. The runed grimling is near immune to magic, so plan accordingly. All grimlings in the zone run at low health and its quite easy to get a train on you if you don't manage this correctly.
This is also one of the better places to farm acrylia that you'd need for tradeskills.
